Movement Direction

I am a Movement Director who specialises in drawing on the imagination, skills, and individuality of the collaborators in the room. My approach isn’t shaped by formal dance training but by years of performing, devising, and playing sport at a high level — experiences that have given me a deep understanding of physicality, teamwork, and precision.

As a long-standing practitioner with Frantic Assembly, my work is heavily influenced by their process of using simple tasks to generate bold, imaginative material that connects directly to the world of the play. I believe in working collaboratively with actors and creatives to discover movement that feels authentic to the story and the ensemble telling it. I enjoy utilising playful tasks and provocations within a process and can get the most out of an ensemble when embedded within th creative team and given time and space to collaborate with all creatives in the rehearsal room.

My credits include creating movement for film, working with Battersea Arts Centre’s Beatbox Academy on The Pied Piper: A Hip Hop Family Musical (including a community chorus), and collaborating on bold new adaptations such as Jesse Ardern’s Jane Austen’s Persuasion in Alberta, Canada, due to tour internationally in 2026/27.

My work is always about unlocking physical storytelling that is playful, precise, and grounded in the performers’ own creativity.
